Our Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This statement sets out what steps we, Whistlebrook Limited Reg. no. 03316558, have taken during the previous calendar year to ensure that slavery and human trafficking did not occur within any part of our own business or supply chains.
Slavery and human trafficking are abuses of a person’s freedoms and rights. Whistlebrook is totally opposed to such abuses in our direct operations, our indirect operations and in any of our supply chains. Building on our existing policies, we have chosen to publish an annual slavery and human trafficking statement.
Our business and supply chains
Whistlebrook uses a small number of mostly global suppliers for the provision of software tools and computer hardware. These suppliers use their own supply chains for manufacture and therefore our supply chain for software and hardware can be large and complex. As a result, we prioritise our attention on the behaviour policies and statements of those major companies when determining if they are meeting the high standards that we expect.
Whistlebrook does not subcontract any significant volume of services for labour to any third party and therefore, when combined with our internal reviews, we believe the risk of trafficking or slavery within our supply chain for services is negligible.
Policies and procedures
Whistlebrook is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities, and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking. In keeping with our commitment to act with integrity in all our business dealings our broader business’ policies and procedures are framed to reflect our stance against slavery & trafficking.
If employees have concerns over potential slavery or human trafficking, we encourage them to raise them directly with their line manager, human resources or a Company Director. We will focus on helping people understand and identify slavery and human trafficking risks, and remind them how they can report any concerns they may have.
We review and, if appropriate, update our policies and procedures annually and look at how we can strengthen certain sections of them to include more explicit references to slavery and human trafficking.
Board approval
This slavery and human trafficking statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 for and on behalf of Whistlebrook Limited for the forthcoming calendar year.
This statement has been approved by the Whistlebrook board of directors as at 31st August 2024.
