Excel

Excel provides easy access to the SAMI OLAP cube to produce data in either standard Excel row/column format or in graphical form as shown in the example below. These analytics are interactive and real time. The data comes directly from the data warehouse and there is, within Excel standard drill down and drill across functionality.

Powerpivot

Powerpivot is an Excel add-on. It provides a very fast "data in memory" analysis of large volumes of data. Powerpivot is normally used directly on the data warehouse tables (rather than the OLAP cube). However, no technical knowledge is required to access the tables as SAMI comes with a whole library of pre-written queries that should cover all your needs.

Sharepoint

The PerfomancePoint module of Sharepoint provides the capability to produce exciting and interactive dashboards and scorecards. Additionally your Powerpivot output and Excel output can be published to Sharepoint for others to view.
Sharepoint is a company-wide server for publishing your Business Intelligence. Excel and Powerpivot are useful tools for ad-hoc and more personal data access. The Sharepoint dashboard building tools are intuitive and easy to use.
